Learning to manage life can be a challenge. When complicated by life transitions, chronic health conditions, mental health diagnoses, or a host of other unforeseen obstacles, it is important to seek guidance. I have shared this journey with individuals and families for nearly 25 years. My clinical training, the use of research supported treatments, such as EMDR and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and compassion for others have allowed me to successfully work with individuals of all ages (children, teens, adults, and geriatrics) who are confronted with a variety of concerns. I am licensed to practice in Georgia, Texas, and Colorado.
I have worked extensively in the treatment of co-occurring chronic health conditions and mental health diagnoses as well as in the treatment of trauma and adverse life events. For your convenience, appointments are available during evenings and weekends.
I am passionate about helping others to find peace and resolution with negative events of their past; to find enjoyment and meaning with themselves in the present; and to set attainable goals for their future. Please visit my website at www.underwoodcounseling.net to learn more.
